The PVLC-15MD is a small, micro-controller based, reliable charge and lighting controller that has a built-in motion sensor. It is usually found at locations such as bus stops, park restrooms, walkways, campground trash facilities, and other areas where the number of batteries and PV panels can be reduced by utilizing the motion detector to turn on the light only when people are present. The PVLC-15MD provides automatic dusk-to-dawn lighting control, providing for both nighttime and daytime motion-triggered lighting control as selected. Because of its fully-encapsulated design, the PVLC-15MD can operate in the wide temperature ranges and harsh environments found in remote, battery-powered, electronic systems. The PVLC-15MD switches automatically to handle 12 or 24 volt DC battery systems with built-in low voltage disconnect to protect the batteries from over-discharging.
