SolarEdge zIGBEE kIT - SE1000-zbgw-k5-na |
SolarEdge, Zigbee to Ethernet Gateway Kit with Extended Range Antenna & 1 Slave module, SE1000-ZBGW-K5-NA The SolarEdge home gateway kit is used to wirelessly connect any SolarEdge inverter to the internet through the homeowner’s router. The home gateway sits next to the router and can transmit and receive signals from as many as 15 inverters. Going wireless simplifies the installation greatly by eliminating the need to install a hard-wire cable to the inverter - no more squeezing into crawlspaces or navigating cramped attics and no more drilling through walls. The home gateway kit features an improved communication range of 15 meters or 50 feet (Indoors) by utilizing an external antenna on the inverter and by using the ZigBee communications protocol. |

I self installed the Solar edge system, Canadian Solar panels; 24 325 watt panels and a Solar Edge Inverter. A month after PGE permission to start-up I started getting Arc Fault Interrupts in the inverter. I double checked all the wiring for correct installation, double checked the ground connections to all the optimizers and could find nothing wrong. I called Solar Edge tech support and they suggested I install the Zigbee and Gateway system so they could troubleshoot the problems online. I installed the Zigbee and gateway system, then called tech support again. They asked for the inverter serial number which I gave them and they were able to check the system from their remote login at tech support. Turns out that I had everything installed correctly but the inverter had a faulty program. They were able to download a new upgraded program to the inverter and repair all the problems in the inverter and reset it to new factory specifications online. It's been over two months now and the system is running up to par with no problems. i would recommend a Zigbee and gateway system installation to be added to any solar panel installation a homeowner would install him/her self. What a difference it makes without having to scratch your head wondering what's wrong.
