*SolarEdge PV Optimizers
As we approach the summer of 2017, so does new lines of higher efficiency solar panels, new racking systems, better inverter lines – and the ever increasing addition of SolarEdge PV Optimizers on the back of so many different solar panels, it’s hard to keep track. These nifty little contraptions are ready to plug into their concurrent string inverters to achieve even greater energy yields and ROI’s.
It’s becoming more and more common as each year passes, for homeowners and installers alike to expect more from their investment dollars and utility gains. Such is the case for other similar technologies that promise an increase in solar yields on a daily basis, (Array Technologies and Zomeworks for sun path tracking, High efficiency modules, Enphase microinverters, and SolarEdge Optimizers). All of these technologies and solar array solutions have one common denominator – harvesting more solar radiation per hour, day, year.
The one important difference, however, is the cost per dollar gained on different system solutions. SolarEdge lets you spend less per kw to gain higher returns. It’s more of an add-on cost per module.
SolarEdge Power Optimizers let you do more with your system, at the modular level:

So far we are seeing more solar panel manufacturers add this product ready to be connected, partnering with SolarEdge to provide their PV optimizers on the back of their latest solar modules. It’s definitely a growing trend, helping customers get even more from a great PV module, and this makes getting the most optimal setup for your system even easier and ready to generate the best yields possible for the entire term of the systems activity under the sun.
However, this isn’t the only way to enjoy the benefits of attaching optimizers to the back of your solar panel. Most of the solar panels we carry can be outfitted with a SolarEdge PV optimizer and inverter system solution to help realize the gains many residential and commercial applications are striving to accomplish. If the module is not already predisposed with an optimizer, we can size the system with an optimizer or optimizer and SolarEdge inverter to be ready for the specific requirements for an installation.
It’s most certainly becoming a clear and beneficial choice to choose SolarEdge for their optimizers and a string inverter if the complete set up is desired. When you choose to go solar this year, or the next, we believe you should take into strong consideration the cost and benefits of adding on SolarEdge PV optimizers to your photovoltaic array and enjoy a more efficient cost friendly system for years to come.
